ISLAMABAD: The government has asked the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government to stop any movement of organised or armed mob towards Islamabad.
Interior Secretary Arif Ahmed Khan has written a letter to KP chief secretary to take necessary steps to prevent “unlawful” congregations within the jurisdiction of the province. The letter drew attention reports indicating intentions of a selected group of people from KP to march on Islamabad on Wednesday with a declared intention of paralysing and holding hostage the people and government institutions in the capital. It said that certain cabinet ministers and members of the KP Assembly intended to lead some of these processions along with their official and personal armed guards.
