KHANEWAL: As many as 21 passengers were injured when two bogies of a Karachi-bound train derailed near Makhdoompur Railway Station on Monday. The packed train was coming from Rawalpindi. Rescue teams shifted the injured to District Headquarters Hospital. The passengers in four other trains, Karakoram Express, Quetta Express, Millat Express and Sandal Express, faced problems due to the accident. Emergency was imposed across the district and all doctors and paramedics were called to duty. Soon after the incident, people from nearby villages rushed to the site with food and drinks for the injured.
