LAHORE: Indian Lieutenant General Mohinder Puri praised on Monday Colonel Sher Khan of Pakistan Army for his bravery.
Khan was martyred during Kargil war. He was someone whose bravery during the Kargil war was acknowledged by his enemy, the Indian side as well. 15 years on, he remains a hero.
Puri, who led the Indian army during the Kargil war 15 years ago, said that the Pakistan Army officer had attacked the Indian forces at the Tiger Hill. He said that it was a surprise for the Indian side but one that led to the death of Colonel Khan.
Puri accepted that the bravery of Khan and the way he led the operation was exemplary.
