ISLAMABAD: PTI supporter and Former Junoon guitarist Salman Ahmad’s attempt to reach Imran Khan’s residence by breaking police lines ended with him getting detained by police in Bani Gala on Friday.
The musician said that he escaped from police custody in Islamabad on Friday.
Talking to a private news channel, Salman said that he was detained from outside Bani Gala when he was on his way to attend an anti-polio meeting.
He claimed that he was manhandled by the police.
Later, Salman said that he managed to walk free because the police van’s door was not shut properly. Earlier, he posted a picture on Twitter with a message saying “Getting ready for Jazba Junoon!”
PTI leader Imran Khan demanded that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif presents himself for accountability after the offshore assets of his family were exposed.
Khan urged his supporters to follow him to ‘lockdown’ Islamabad against the government.
